+463 If Fridays were part of the weekend, it would probably increase the quality of the schoolwork done on the other days. amirite?

I agree, but doesn't that defeat the point of calling them weekends? I mean, Saturday would no longer be on either end.

I had a Sociology teacher who would tell us that she thinks that if there were 3 work days and 4 off days a week, then we'd get more done on the work days

But we'd have increased work during the week, more hours, or a longer school year/less vacation time.

I read a article recently that a bunch of schools in Georgia and Hawaii did this and not only kid test scores/grades improve, but attendance improved dramatically for both students and teachers. I'd love if they did that to my school but the school board would decline because it's not the "proper"/traditional way. >:/

My school has Fridays off so it just means longer hours Monday to Thursday. People in my school have pretty high grades so yeah having one day less of school is better and everyone, teachers included, happier.
