Some songs use effects like surround sound, and if you have them in the wrong ear it will sound wierd, just try it.

Also, some have different shapes for the different ears left or right.

Even if you are listening to a song with different sounds coming from each head phone, there's still no point in having a left and right because it they're both in your ear, it doesn't make a difference which side the sound is coming from and if you think it does you need to chill, it's just a song.

Maybe to you, it's "just a song"

each one is also slightly shaped for each ear. If you put them in the wrong ear, they'll fall out a lot more easily.

Mine aren't labeled for some reason. I hate these little buggers, I'm the type that holds the light of the MP3 player to the headphones when listening in the dark JUST to be sure they're on the right ear.

there may be no point in wearing the correct earphones in the designated ears, but i do it anyway!

i didn't know it mattered. mine don't even have a label anymore, i scratched it off. just ignore all of these idiots..

Mine need them because they're specially shaped for each ear so they don't fall out as easily. They wouldn't fit if they weren't in the right ears.
