Actually, I think it's great that Obama wants to help people. I just think there are better ways than taking money from people who work hard for it and giving it to people who often (though not always, I know) do nothing to earn it.

I don't think you see my point. If you make more money you can change the world more than the person with the average wage. The money that is taxed from the rich will only have a portion of it actually helping causes. So why not get rich? I would prefer to keep the insults away so this doesn't get ugly.

let's get a few things straight. the rich could be taxed more? boo. fucking. hoo. that's a shame, they may have to spend less time in their oceanside vacation home. how DARE their "hard earned" money be spent on poor people. i know that some poor people simply chill and receive aid, and that's a shame. but i'm pretty sure the MAJORITY of poor people want to work, and join the shrinking middle class, and at least provide a healthy environment for their kids to prosper.

That doesn't mean that the rich haven't worked hard for their money, so their children and grandchildren can have a better life. It's not like everyone with a good amount of money is hording it in their mansions, a lot of them give to charities or special organizations.
