It certainly wouldn't be healthy, but it would save on food cost if everything was made like McDonald's fries - no matter how long they sit out, in any kind of weather, they never spoil or mold. amirite?

Actually, they do get moldy. We've been doing an experiment in Bio and it's been a month and they have mold all over them. Just saying.
