+250 It's hard to imagine celebrating Christmas and New Years during the summer, as they do in Australia. amirite?

Not really, because I live there. It'd be shit celebrating it in winter here. At least were you live, you get snow. Us, not so much.

I live in QLD Australia, and Christmas here is just awesome. To me, Christmas means a day on the beach in your bikini, sitting on a picnic mat on the sand, eating prawns, pavlova and laminations with your whole family. Playing in the waves while listening to kids belt Christmas carols from the shore. Ahh... Australia.

Haha yeah if only Melbourne Chrissy's were that warm. The past few years have been so average!

Me too, but in NZ :) It's much better than a winter christmas.

It's hard for me to imagine a Christmas in the winter! with snow and all too. It doesn't snow at all in Australia, except in the mountains. But still, Christmas and NYE in the summer is awesome :D

I'm in NZ and let me tell you: beers and barbecues on Christmas day is fucking amazing :)

Australia isn't the only place in the southern hemisphere you know. I'm South African and can't imagine being cold on New Year's.

I just used australia as an example :)

Yeah, its pretty boss having a bonfire on the beach and chilling out in shorts and a shirt on NYE, snow would just be miserable.

beer and beach barbecue may be awesome, but there's something to be said for a roaring fire, hot cocoa and marshmallows, a big fluffy hats.

How would you even be able to do anything if it was snowing on New Years? There's so many more options when it's summer.
