I think that makes more sense for most television shows. Usually, the protagonists featured in modern books and movies usually don't meet their "best friends" until the work begins.

i've had a best friend for 17 years n i'm 17(we were born 10 days apart) my other bestfriend is from kindergarten and my 3 if from 3rd grade. It's not that difficult to maintain a friendship

Each of my friends has a different quality, i hang out and care about them all equally, . If the got in to an arugument and i had to judge, i would say what i thought was right and would be respected for being honest because best friends can do that, if they got in to a senseless argument i wouldn't pick oe but would slap all 3 of them because i can also do that

If they are better than all my other friends, doesn't that make them the best? In my class there are people who i would help in need but am not particularly attached to, i consider them friends. Then there are or those i interact with a decent amount on a regularly basis and i like more than some of my other friends(these are my better friends) and then on the top of the list are those 3 who i care about and trust more than anyone(making them my best friends) therefore i have 3 best friends

Best means better than the rest. So if i like 3 ppl equally and better than the rest of the people, then there are 3 best friends, there is no rule that says i have to pick some one. Let me nerd it down a bit. There are 10 people doing a maths paper,3 ppl get 100% and the rest get below. So now who is the best at math in the class? All 3 of them are better than the rest of the people but not each other

1 friend isn't better than the other 2, so they can't be the best. The other isn't better than the other 2, so he can't be the best either. Of course, there can be a group, which is 1 group that is the best.

I have 1 bestest friend, and 3 best friends. Amanda, bestest friend, known since birth. (Our older brothers and sisters are best friends as well) Julia, best friend, known since age 4. Ellis, best friend, known since last August (2010), Darby, best friend, known since last Christmas. While Amanda might be my bestest friend , I would give my life for any of the others. This was supposed to be a reply, but I didn't hit the reply button and am too lazy to do so.
