Harry Potter would probably be even more amazing if he was also half vampire...i mean super speed, magical powers, immortality..voldemort would NEVER stop him then, amirite?

The beauty of Harry Potter is that he's a normal guy just trying to overcome a huge problem he didn't even start. He learns to rely on his friends and luck to get by, which is why we can relate to him. It'd be a totally different story if he had special powers.

@529138 (Anonymous): Voldemort does try to stop Harry, because he thought that Harry was the only thing that would be able to defeat him because of the prophecy. So he tried to kill him in the beginning and that's how it all started. Then Voldemort tries to kill Harry repeatedly because he didn't want to be defeated. But harry had love so voldemort couldn't kill him. So voldemort did try to stop him, he just failed in the end.

He's not 'stopping' Harry. Do you know what stopping means? He tries to kill him. Harry 'stops' Voldemort from achieving immortality. Voldemort only tries to 'stop' Harry from stopping him. This was very poorly phrased.

If you gave Harry Potter vampire powers, you'd turn him into some twisted version of Edward Cullen (as if E.C. wasn't twisted enough). Harry is much better as a normal kid with wizarding powers. Leave the vampires to Dracula and stuff. NOT Twilight.

First off, Harry Potter isn't even being stopped by Voldemort and Voldemort never caused that much damage to him, minus weird dreams, seriously bad headaches filled with his face, and killing some friends and family, but nothing but a scratch to Harry. (Well, maybe a couple bruises from some fight scenes, but he couldn't kill Harry because Harry has love and Voldemort doesn't.)
