+374 Fire drills do not teach students to be ready in case of a fire. They teach students to be extremely annoyed when the fire alarm goes off, and to not take it seriously because it's never an actual fire. Amirite?

Fire alarm drills were awesome, you got a ten minute break from class.

It does help at first, when you don't know where to go. At my school, we line up on the football field and each class has a different place. Some teachers don't tell you where that is and other teachers only tell you the yard line. And everyone's just like "Right or left side? Home or visitor?" I still don't know where we line up for most of my classes! The ten minutes less of class is just an added bonus :)

At my school we would all go sit on the hill right in front of the school and wait for them to take our school picture. I'm still waiting for the day the firemen come and wonder why everyone is standing next to a burning building and smiling.

At my school no one stays organized. You just ball up in a group near your class and talk to your friends. I pitty people with teachers who actually care about it.
