Did you intend to use -- as a placeholder, but then it underlined your text?

Actually I think they meant to use ___ as a placeholder, as in "If we didn't have 'blank' then..." Besides, -- would just cross it out.

This post was made before "___" Underlined things, so this post should have read "When people say 'It'd be weird if we didn't have (blank),' It's stupid because if (blank) never existed, we wouldn't notice ever." IF anything, you should have picked on that last line. "We wouldn't notice ever"? How about "we wouldn't ever notice."
