Girls: you prefer to use pads than tampons because they are way more comfortable, amirite?
by Anonymous13 years ago
Umm...no??? They aren't??? Heh you maybe aren't using them correctly...
by Anonymous13 years ago
Not at all. Maybe you could say that they are less invasive or something like that, but tampons are definitely more comfortable. Using pads is like going back in time and start using diapers again, at least for me.
by Anonymous13 years ago
It's a personal decision that no one should have a say on in your own life. Trashing one or the other makes people who depend on them feel bad.
by Anonymous13 years ago
Who's trashing who? O_o;
by Anonymous13 years ago
yeah i meant less invasive.
by Anonymous13 years ago
If you think tampons are uncomfortable, you're doing it wrong. How could pads possibly provide any comfort? They're gross and squelchy in your knickers. Tampons don't feel like anything at all.
by Anonymous13 years ago
I don't think that means you're necessarily doing it wrong, it means an one-size-fits-all doesn't actually fit all. I use both (tampons when necessary) but like pads better because it works better for my body. That's it.
by Anonymous13 years ago
^^^ I agree you dont feel them if you do it right, and i personally dont like pads becasue I dont like feeling like I wet my pants for 5 days.
by Anonymous13 years ago
I say they're both comfortable.
by Anonymous13 years ago
*waiting for a boy to comment this*
by Anonymous13 years ago
pads are much more comfortable around my penis
you're welcome
by Anonymous13 years ago
i could so continue a completely inappropriate conversation with you about what you just said.
by Anonymous13 years ago
inappropriate conversations are my specialty, haha
by Anonymous13 years ago
pads are NOT comfortable. :S
by Anonymous13 years ago
they feel like i'm wearing a diaper and its so messy. tampons ftw.
by Anonymous13 years ago
Oh yay more period talk *grabs popcorn and movie soda*
by Anonymous13 years ago
you cant even feel tampons. you can feel pads. and blood.
by Anonymous13 years ago
I've never worn a tampon. Does it hurt?
by Anonymous13 years ago
the first time it feels strange. It doesn't hurt unless you try and take it out less than thirty minutes after putting it in.
by Anonymous13 years ago
Ohhh ok. Don't you have to change them often? That must be a pain..
by Anonymous13 years ago
ive never used one either, and im scared to try >.<
by Anonymous13 years ago
@586201 (the gurl): YOu just have to change them about every 6-8 hours. Don't be scared they are so much better and more comfortable. I promise once you use a tampon you won't go back to pads.
by Anonymous13 years ago
okay, thanx =]
by Anonymous13 years ago
Tampons are better. You don't have to feel like you wet your pants!
by Anonymous13 years ago
now what if im a guy? xD
by Anonymous13 years ago
well that's just a different story
by Anonymous13 years ago
story time! haha
by Anonymous13 years ago
They don't make you feel like you wet your pants, they keep me more dry.
by Anonymous13 years ago
Not often. I do it every six hours or so. But im lightish. Some girls i know have to do it every three or risk leaking.
by Anonymous13 years ago
Pads. Ew. I feel wet and uncomfortable when I wear them, so I just put them on at night.
Tampons don't feel like anything. If they're uncomfortable for you, you're doing it wrong.
by Anonymous13 years ago
Tampons... bleargh. I don't like using tampons. I only used them when I had to during swim season last year. :/
by Anonymous13 years ago
I have to use both simutaneously... feel lucky if you can go either/or *sigh*
by Anonymous13 years ago
I'd rather not stick a tampon up my vagina, thanks.
by Anonymous13 years ago
Tampons are way better than pads. The only weirdo part is putting in and taking out - besides that it's great cause you can't feel them :)
by Anonymous13 years ago
I'll take a pass in sitting in my own drippings, thanks.
by Anonymous13 years ago
I, personally, prefer pads.
I tried using a tampon once, and I was just like, "uhh...how do I do this?" I knew how to, but I just...meh.
Each to their own, though.
by Anonymous13 years ago
Haha, I'm still afraid to wear a tampon ;n;
I'm 13 ...
so am I still too young or am I too old now u_u?
by Anonymous13 years ago
I'm rather confused as to how you could be too old...
by Anonymous13 years ago
Same.....
by Anonymous13 years ago
Haha I guess that was a dumb thing for me to say ..
I was trying to make sense but I guess it fell flat u_u
by Anonymous13 years ago
I used one at 12 (a week before my birthday). No ones too young, i mean unless you're like 9.
by Anonymous13 years ago
Some of my friends say that pads are gross/you're sitting in your own blood for hours/annoying/squishy & unsanitary.
[If they sell them, why would they be unsanitary? No idea! Haha]
Some of my friends say that tampons are cotton sticks that hurt and clog up your vagina with nasty blood and 'grossness'.
I don't mean to scare anyone, these are just defensive opinions.
Just use what is comfortable, and what you know how to apply!
If you want to switch it up but don't know how, then ask your Mom or friends how to use the item. :)
by Anonymous13 years ago
Ewwww... lol.
by Anonymous13 years ago
I prefer pads, lol.
by Anonymous13 years ago
I'm a guy. I clicked this by accident.
do girls really just sit around and discuss this all day?.... o_o
by Anonymous13 years ago
I feel bad for you. You shouldn't have clicked this.
by Anonymous13 years ago
It comes up now and again. It's almost like a religion O.o
by Anonymous13 years ago
On this site they do. This site has just become an opinionated menstrual hut.
by Anonymous13 years ago
I only wear pads at night. Tampons are just easier.
I have to say, though, people need to stop posting so many things about periods on this site o_O
by Anonymous13 years ago
yes, because i love feeling like i wet my pants all day.
by Anonymous13 years ago
The only bad part about tampons is taking them out omg that hurts soo bad even after 6-7 hours!! It's like the size the swell to is just too big!
by Anonymous13 years ago
Why is talking about period-related topics so interesting to girls? Why are so many period posts getting on the homepage? Is Anthony gay? So many questions...
by Anonymous13 years ago
This post is fucking stupid. It's a personal decision, so it's fine if you prefer either, but ''pads are more comfortable''? You don't feel tampons. How could anything possibly be more comfortable than that?
by Anonymous13 years ago
I have had terrible luck with tampons (pain wise) multiple times, so pads are much easier for me.
by Anonymous13 years ago
If a tampon hurts you're either putting it in wrong/not far enough, or you're using too large of an absorbency. They have some meant for young girls that are a lot thinner and shorter then most. And if it hurts taking it out even after a few hours you're most def using too high of an absorbency.
by Anonymous13 years ago
How awkward for guys reading this...
by Anonymous13 years ago
To all the girls scared of using tampons , don't be . I used to be before I tried one and don't feel bad about not knowing how to do it cause I actually tried to put it in the wrong hole...embarrassing . Anyway , the first time I used it was a little uncomfortable because it was my first time but once you use them regularly and properly , you can't feel a thing . Probably wanna start off with a regular sized or light . And even if it feels very uncomfortable in only an hour , DO NOT TAKE IT OUT ! Wait for the 6 to 8 hours or it will feel like you're getting rug burn in your vagina ! If you want to try it id recommend asking your mom or a friend that already uses it . Makes it a lot easier .
by Anonymous13 years ago
if you like the feeling of nappies, sure!
by Anonymous13 years ago
@587656: that's retarded. Most girls have broken it before they've ever had sex anyways. It can happen from something as simple as stretching. Losing your virginity is having sex. I swear there's some dumb ass people in this world.
by Anonymous13 years ago
pads are gross
by Anonymous13 years ago
I like pads better. Although I'm a kid and only tried it once, and it didn't work, but yeah I'm not gonna share that.
