+253 After 9/11...walking the streets of New York City near where the Twin Towers were...kind of makes you cringe, amirite?

Especially when think of how many people died on the very spot you're on.

And...there are people walking the streets who just have loads of pictures from 9/11. And they are showing them right around ground zero. This one man comes up to me and my dad (this was about 1 month ago) and he said: "See this building right here?" *looks up to MASSIVE building.* It was a very very tall building. "That's this building here." *points to building in a picture* "Now see THESE builings? These are the Twin Towers before they fell" *points to them in a picture.* They were probably like 2 or 3 times bigger than the building he showed us. And that was a freaking HUGGEEE BUILDING. It really hurts also when being showed pictures near ground zero with all the dead bodies lying around, and all the damage done to other buildings. AS we were standing RIGHT THERE.

THANK YOU. I don't remember how I got it... but I went to NY on vacation two weeks ago and went on a boat ride in the channel...I saw ground zero from there and it made me really depressed...

I live there, and you should see it on the 9/11 anniversary. So many people, and there's just deathly silence. It's awful. It's so sad and you can just see just a big gap where the towers were. They put up lights to commemorate all the victims of 9/11.

It's also awful when you hear people say that people should just get over it because it was "so many years ago".

I know I'm in no place to say I know how you feel or something like that, but gosh, it sounds so sad.
