There's no such thing as a Latin accent. Trust the classics student.

Don't people automatically hate Americans though?? :(

Been there, done that.

did you have fun? where did you go?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I moved to America, from Brazil. Yea, it was fun, people praised me in school. I felt like a small town celebrity.

aha! This reminds me of a girl that's a foreign exchange student from Germany in my school in America. Everyone knows who she is, and she even got voted onto homecoming court and everything. It's just really cool that someone from a different country is at our school, and it sounds like it was the same thing with you. :)

Yea, it was at first... But it's been 5 years, and now everyone is used to me and my sister, haha. New students don't even know I'm from a different country though, because I don't have an accent when I speak English. But I went to Brazil this summer, and everyone I talked to was like "are you from here?" I was like "I live in the US, but originally, yea..." and they were all like "woahhh you have such a thick American accent!" (Yea, sorry for writing so much)

that sounds so cool! :)

if you don't have one of the better countries/accents, then you won't be the cool foreign kid, you'll be the kid no one understands

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Not if you're an american moving to Australia ;)

by Anonymous 13 years ago

"omg have you seen that new american kid? s/he has this accent."

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I've always wanted to move to Italy. Probably should learn Italian first though, so I'm not the dumb American no one understands.
