:D Thank you!

The right boyfriend would allow you to concentrate on school and love you all the same.
Sadly such men have still not developed yet in high school, for the most part.

(Your_Broken<3_here): I let my girlfriend concentrate on school, I want her to do well

Been with my bf since I was 16. He was 19. Now I'm 21. Graduated high school. Good grades. Almost done with beauty school now. He's supported me through everything and anything. :) ha

Thats truee.. love doesn't pay the bills... and if the relationship goes bad you need to be able to hold your own so finish school!! don't sacrifice education for a hair straightening, hollister wearing guy ;)
( i know they aren't all like that to those who don't like to joke)
by Anonymous13 years ago
You are perfectly correct. However, you should also not swear to your boyfriend that you need him and won't hurt him and THEN decide you don't want a relationship. Especially when he was your best friend first and you don't even let him have that anymore.

aww did you get your heart broken? don't worry, you will find someone to love you :)
by Anonymous13 years ago
I thought I already did.
by Anonymous13 years ago
I honestly don't see the point in dating during high school.
by Anonymous13 years ago
Very true! But it's also okay to have a boyfriend in HS as long as it doesnt take you away from your school work. Relationships can wait. Highschool diplomas cant

I have my boyfriend and I still get good grades..

I'm a straight-A student. I always do my best, and I will continue doing my best.
Yes, it'd be nice to get a boyfriend, but right now, I'm more focused on school.
It bothers me when girls dumb themselves down because they're lazy or want to get a bf. They can do SO well, but they don't even try. It's a shame.

A boyfriend would be nice, but, there are no decent boys lmao
by Anonymous13 years ago
i'm not sacrificing anything for boys...i don't have a boyfriend but i'm sure i would do fine even if i did

I don't understand why having a bf/gf would effect school work.
by Anonymous13 years ago
(lynz.): Dates, time talking with them, having arguments, getting distracted when thinking about them.
Basically they're just in your mind a lot, keeping you away from schoolwork sometimes.
by Anonymous13 years ago
(lynz.): You must have one then. *affect

(lynz.): Typical kid: Homework?! Doesn't the teacher think I have better things to do?! Well, my playstation's broken so- Wait! I have a girlfriend! Let's make out!
Not to mention the drama and emotional toil it takes. I mean, just the break ups alone.. Especially if they cheat (which is likely in a young relationship) Or if a pregnancy is involved.

That's the excuse I use when gross guys ask me out. "Yeah I don't date. I have to, uh... focus on school..."
by Anonymous13 years ago
A guy is like that in one of my classes.
He's never had a girlfriend, because he wants to "focus on school." Which, SUCKS, because I kind of like him an eensy weensy, tiny bit.

Mine is a bit of a dumb ass.

@577890: uh no. Effect is right the way I used it. Get the fuck over yourself. And yeah, I have a bf. Since sophomore year. I graduated '08.
If someone can't prioritize their time having a bf/gf, and school work they have issues. What's the difference between having friends and a bf/gf? You spend time with them don't you? Whatever, to each their own.
by Anonymous13 years ago
(lynz.): Actually effect is a noun. You used it as a verb so it would be affect.
by Anonymous13 years ago
fangirl12: shit happens. You gotta learn from it. I'd rather make my mistakes and get hurt younger, personally. And I'd say its the 18-25 crowd of guys that are more likely to cheat than younger ones. Pregnancy would obviously be an issue, but maybe parents shouldn't be so stupid about what their kids are doing.Have better prevention programs in schools instead of abstinence. In most states girls can get birth control for free without parental consent. So the ones not using it are just dumb. Def not the guys fault.
by Anonymous13 years ago
(lynz.): Guys can get condoms too. Or heck, maybe they can just not have sex. The healthier choice. And my school doesn't teach abstinance o sex-ed. We only have a brief sex-ed topic in health class(that's not manditory for all grades) that covers the basics that everyone already knows.
by Anonymous13 years ago
fangirl12: saying just don't have sex is stupid. This isn't the 50's. Teens are going to have sex. And you proved my point, schools need to have better sex ed programs.
