Total making out on the first date is too fast, amirite?
by Anonymous12 years ago
I totes make out on the first date.
by Anonymous13 years ago
By using the word "totes" I automatically assume you are a 13 y/o slut.
by Anonymous13 years ago
Well you sir are an idiot for assuming such a thing.
by Anonymous13 years ago
Well who actually uses that word anymore???
by Anonymous13 years ago
People that enjoy making fun of other people that still use that word.
by Anonymous13 years ago
It was never a word, just a short version of totally that I "totes" hate.

Wanna go on a date?
by Anonymous12 years ago
Yes.
by Anonymous12 years ago
Look at that, you //are// a 13-year-old slut.
by Anonymous12 years ago
21 year old tyvm
by Anonymous12 years ago
How would you disagree with this? A first date... You barely know the person and even if you did, why would you just start making out?
by Anonymous13 years ago
What if it's a first date with someone you've been friends with for years?
by Anonymous12 years ago
Because you still don't know how it will affect your friendship and the first date will set things up for the rest of your relationship. If you start out fast, you're probably not going to take that long to go even further.
by Anonymous12 years ago
Just because it's called a date has nothing to do with your relationship with the person prior to that night. You could both have liked each other forever and been to shy to admit it until that point. Don't make assumptions.

I've been dating a girl for a month and I haven't even kissed her. I'm still nervous talking to her.
by Anonymous12 years ago
That's cute though. After a month my boyfriend and I were already in each other's pants.
by Anonymous12 years ago
Haha, well I don't want it to go THAT quickly.
by Anonymous12 years ago
That's faster than making out on the first date.
by Anonymous12 years ago
Ironically...we didn't make out on our first date...
by Anonymous12 years ago
Give and take. Less making out, more SEX.
by Anonymous12 years ago
Better get on that before someone else does.
by Anonymous12 years ago
My friend just got her first kiss with her boyfriend of somewhere between 6 and 8 months. Although everyone else thought it was strange, I think it's sweet!
by Anonymous12 years ago
How old are they?
by Anonymous12 years ago
They're both seventeen.
by Anonymous12 years ago
This is soooooo cute!
by Anonymous12 years ago
depends on how old you are, how experienced you are, and how well you know them
by Anonymous12 years ago
Aww, I remember when I was sweet and innocent and thought this. But then I discovered how much fun making out was. Now it's free make outs for everyone!
by Anonymous12 years ago
Same here! xD
by Anonymous12 years ago
See this is totally situational. Like many other people pointed out, it depends on a lot of things whether or not you should for it.
by Anonymous12 years ago
There are a lot of prudes on this site.
by Anonymous12 years ago
Personally, that's way too fast for me, but then again, everything's too fast for me. And I know plenty of other people who don't even kiss on the first date. But then again, I know kids who get drunk at make out at school dances, and that's their first date.
Everyone's pacing is different, and I don't have any right to set someone else's, let alone establish some sort of aphorism of dating.

My religion teacher last year (I go to a Catholic school) had a Theology of the Body section. Among many other teachings on "virtue" and such, this included a relationship rule book. Some examples:
For the first five to six months, you should just make eye contact. Get to know eachother.
At six months, you can hold hands! This should be the first form of physical contact. Hand-to-shoulder, hand-to-face/head, hugging, etc. comes much, much later.
by Anonymous12 years ago
That's absolutely ridiculous. So you have to wait a year to hug your boyfriend/girlfriend? That's bullshit.
by Anonymous12 years ago
Of course it's bullshit. That class was a joke.
by Anonymous12 years ago
By the way, this is the same teacher who would justify everything about Christianity with: "Well, it's what the Pope says and I trust him!" and "Because god made it that way and Jesus said so in the Bible!". She's one of the nicest people I've ever met, but the woman is the epitome of "blind sheep".
by Anonymous12 years ago
She sounds like a moron.
by Anonymous12 years ago
Wait a second.. the Pope is catholic, not christian.
by Anonymous12 years ago
Are you joking..?
by Anonymous12 years ago
No..?
by Anonymous12 years ago
Catholicism is a division of Christianity.
by Anonymous12 years ago
Yes, I know.
by Anonymous12 years ago
So why did you comment "the pope is catholic not Christian" ?
by Anonymous12 years ago
Catholics are Christian, but Christians aren't necessarily Catholics. So the Pope IS Christian, he just doesn't have authority over the Christians outside of the Catholic church. But the basis of all Christian religions are basically the same, so as long as he isn't talking about something that is specific to Catholics, he'd still be defending Christian values.
by Anonymous12 years ago
Makes sense. I'm just a dumbass.
by Anonymous12 years ago
*Is basically the same
Yeah, I just Grammar Nazi'd myself.
by Anonymous12 years ago
Every single time I've made out with a guy, we weren't on a date (or even in a relationship or anything) and neither of us really saw it coming. But hey, it's pretty enjoyable, so I'm totally okay with it.
by Anonymous12 years ago
