+391 When you think about it, saying "no thanks" doesn't really make any sense. It should really be "no, thanks" because you are saying "no, I don't want that... but thanks" as apposed to "I don't have any thanks for you." Amirite?

That's what it means...

by Anonymous 13 years ago

It's a shorter way of saying, "No, but thanks for asking."

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Exactly. That's why when people say "no thanks" they should really type "no, thanks." Get what I'm saying?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Yeah, but it's kind of nitpicking. It's like getting on people's backs about not using apostrophes. I mean, who does? (...Me.)

by Anonymous 13 years ago

LOL that's exactly what I'M trying to say! XD Nevermind!! :P Lolz. Awesome username, btw.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

it IS no, thanks. forgetting the comma is incorrect; it's always been no, thanks.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

That's what I'm trying to tell her!

**opposed

by Anonymous 13 years ago

You're right! Sorry. Typo.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Wow, you really think too much about such things.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Ahh this is where commas make their use because no,thanks is different from no thanks

by Anonymous 13 years ago

It is supposes to be "no, thanks" but over time people make verbal shortcuts and that pause between those words has vanished.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I don't mean just verbally. I'm also referring to people typing/writing 'no thanks' more often than I see people typing/writing 'no, thanks.'

by Anonymous 13 years ago

...And that's why we should use commas. It's "No, thanks."
