Everyone's gushing about how awesome a musician/actor/athelete they are and you remember when they couldn't even get a gig at the school assembly. it's not weird when you're eating lunch or whatever with the guy/girl and there are people hounding them? I would be thinking 'Dude, you used to eat paste!'. It just seems weird that someone you're known most of your life and seen their best and worst moments would seem like such a huge idol to other people.
