If you can't get addicted to marijuana, you can't get addicted to porn. amirite?
by Anonymous13 years ago
Ohhhhhhh hell yes, you can.
by Anonymous13 years ago
Who isn't addicted to porn?
by Anonymous13 years ago
Edward Scissorhands
by Anonymous13 years ago
I think you can become dependent on porn to the extent that reality is more difficult to, uh, manage... But no, I wouldn't call it an addiction. =)
by Anonymous13 years ago
No, when you feel you must see it, and make up excuses, playing down the damage, that is an addiction.
That's what we all do. I, however, told myself no, and quit a few months ago.
Almost every guy is addicted, including myself.
by Anonymous13 years ago
A lot of the guys I know use it, watch it, whatever. None of them are addicted, they can stop and function fine. Perhaps it's a personality thing, no offense. Some people just need it more than others. I suppose the same is true for women, it's not just a male thing. In any case, that's my experience, and that's where I was speaking from. =)
by Anonymous13 years ago
How would you know if they're addicted, did you ask them?
Listen, even if you can resist the addiction, it still is. You'll be able to function fine, sure, but you still (want?) to look at it. You'll still think about it, long for more, and try to convince yourself that it'd be okay. I know from experience. Sometimes you'll digress, but you can still fight the addiction.

porn just gets soooo boring after a while...it's always like the same shit again and again...
by Anonymous13 years ago
You're probably a girl.
by Anonymous13 years ago
nope i'm a guy, but porn is always the same...good porn is hard to find now : (...they're all sterioid injected men with plastic girls with fake moans...honestly i rather enjoy amateur porn than the "real" porn
by Anonymous13 years ago
try looking at anal porn,
by Anonymous13 years ago
Okay.. I don't need to hear about your porn problems.
I told myself not to look at it again.
If you're hooked that's your problem.
by Anonymous13 years ago
I disagree, I typically have no desire to see porn, maybe once in a couple months will I think hey I think I'm going to jack off to some porn, even when I do think that I typically don't as there is a risk of computer viruses and Trojans
by Anonymous13 years ago
... You and I are in the minority, my friend.
I go to an all guys' school, and I asked about ten of my friends and they all said they did. Just throwing That out there.
by Anonymous13 years ago
I also go to an all guys school, honestly I know some kids that don't jack off least of all look at porn, but yeah for majority majority of guys do
by Anonymous13 years ago
Yeah, I know. I said 10% probably don't. Or just won't own up to it.
by Anonymous13 years ago
I'd say 20 or maybe a stretch but 30
by Anonymous13 years ago
Probahly not thirty, but twenty could be accurate.
by Anonymous13 years ago
majority* idk how that was written twice
by Anonymous13 years ago
you are so lying
by Anonymous13 years ago
I am so truthing.
by Anonymous13 years ago
im a girl and i watch porn...sometimes... maybe everyday...
by Anonymous13 years ago
I didn't say girls didn't. It is my understanding that maybe 10% of guys do not. And of that ten, probably all have seen it once.
by Anonymous13 years ago
Hahahaha a psychological addiction maybe, but no, there is no physical addiction to porn. That's just ridicule
by Anonymous13 years ago
You're right, your body rarely gets physically addicted (it can be really hard on your body actually) but your brain gets used to the release of those chemicals and it makes it harder for you to get stimulated to real interactions
by Anonymous13 years ago
Haha you said, "hard" jejeje
by Anonymous13 years ago
I know! I thought it was funny too. I realized the double meaning as I was typing but too tired to fix it.
by Anonymous13 years ago
Ridiculous*
by Anonymous13 years ago
The word you all are looking for is "habituated". Addiction gets flung around very loosely nowadays, but there will always be a difference between the way something your body has grown to need to literally function(not just be happy) and something your mind has simply grown used to having. It comes down to how much willpower you have alone to break a bad habit... if your body isn't experiencing real withdrawal symptoms and driving you to get a "fix"of whatever variety, it really comes down to choice. You choose whether or not to look at the porn, you choose how many times a day you fap, and no matter how wistful and cranky it may make you when you can't, it's not like real addiction. The only reason they even get compared is because of the way people allow them to control their lives, but if chronic masturbators were really like junkies, you couldn't even get through a class if the need hit you; you'd have to duck out of class then or suffer horribly until you did.
I'm not ...
by Anonymous13 years ago
habituated I agree with.
by Anonymous13 years ago
... saying breaking habits is neccessarily easy, but at least you're not having to deal with chemical withdrawal whilst you wrestle your brains into submission.
And scrantoncity, you are a hypocrite. You get on other posts and talk about gays going to hell and how you're so uberchristian, and try to present yourself as someone to emulate to be on the righteous path. Then, you admit that not only do you masturbate frequently(what happened to not spilling your seed on the ground?) and that you had a near porn addiction(lusting in one's heart is bad, I hear) that you only recently broke... yet this whole time you've been constantly preaching at this site, probably between faps. You're a joke.
by Anonymous13 years ago
Okay, let's get some things straight.
I have *never* ever ever said I was better than anyone. I have never said anyone should emulate me. I have never said I was the perfect Christian. I have never told anyone ever that I am better than they.
Never. I will not stand for such lies.
Yes, I did look at porn. Yeah, I'll own up to it. If my parents ask ill admit it.
Does God still love each and every one of us? Yes He does. I prayed and prayed to break my addiction to porn. Or habitual thingamajig.
That being said, I do still masturbate. Twice a week, as I've gotten it down to. I'm trying to cut off completely and cold turkey doesn't work.
I've never ever said I was sinless, or even less of a sinner. Ever. I, at least, recognize my sin, and aim to stop sinning. This is hard, no doubt. As with gays. Without motivation, though, it'd be nigh impossible.
All that being said, I do not think masturbation is inherently wrong. The lust that we all do it to mak...

I don't know about you, but that Doesn't say I'm better than they. Unless your browser messed up, and put words that aren't there.
by Anonymous13 years ago
guy who has never seen porn, throwing it out there
by Anonymous13 years ago
(an exception): ^ guy who is a liar, throwing it out there
by Anonymous13 years ago
makes it wrong, but that's because it's lust.
The good thing is that I already cut porn, so there's no need to look back on that; that's the beauty of forgiveness.
