+642 Scented paint would be the coolest invention ever, so when you paint your room it can smell like heaven for months, amirite?

Paint already has a smell. It's called eau de dumptruck

I love the creativity and imagination, but I can see a few big problems with that right away 1. If a guest doesn't like the scent, you can't do anything about it. 2. If it was in your room, you would only get the effect when you first walked in after being away for a bit. The nose is designed to ignore a scent fairly quickly. 3. It would be incredibly hard/costly to produce and make it successful. Consider the following. Everyone has different color/scent preferences. Suppose someone wanted yellow with lemon scent or orange with the scent of the fruit of the same name. That's fine, but what about the people that would want orange paint hate the scent of the fruit and want some other scent instead? The money that would need to go into producing all those different scent/color combinations would be crazy, but a necessity since otherwise almost no one would buy it because, they may love blue, but if their only option for scent is blueberries, they may not want to buy it. they have that. for real. we got some when we painted my room- it's a liquid that comes in a plastic baggie, and you pour it into the paint and mix it. it smells really nice :)
