I think that if they see that you are throwing in the trash can they shouldn't say anything about but if they see you chewing it it'd be if they just said something like "you know your not supposed to have gum at school" and then be done with it.

That's a really, really dumb excuse and just plain childish. If you can't manage to throw it away discreetly, like with a piece of paper or something, at least have the common sense to keep the little piece of paper to wrap it in until you can. People who just drop it or stick it onto things are disgusting and need to mature. You blame it on them, but really it's people like you doing stuff like that is why it's not allowed in the goddamn first place.

no, i dont do that and i agree that the people who do it ARE assholes. but if the rule wasnt there, we would have a lot less of it
