That's because, oftentimes, you're right. I did phone tech support for T-mobile for a couple of years, and you'd be shocked how often things can be solved by turning your phone off and back on, or "powercycling" as we called it. Poor signal, dropped calls, missed/repeated texts, slow web browsing, freezing... many issues can be solved by simply refreshing your network connection, which is what powercycling does. These problems can also be largely prevented by proactively powercycling at least once a day, and frequently while traveling. Just FYI.
