+537 The guitar is no longer seen as a 'male' instrument. Playing the guitar increases anyone's sex appeal, no matter what their gender, amirite?

I'm a girl and I play bass but still, most people think it's a dude instrument. (It's not.)

I feel sexy.

i wish that was true. ive been playing it for years and the only guy who they say is exy is the one who can play maybe 1 chord and a green day song. no one likes van halen songs anymore :/

Guitar was actually originally considered a girl's instrument; that's part of the reason it's shaped the way it is.

how?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I forget the specifics, but something about it was mentioned in The Oxford Dictionary of Music.

I don't really think it makes someone more attractive, but.. I dunno. It shows they have more talent, only if they're good at it though. I play four instruments and no one ever has said it's attractive except some random kid on here.

It really depends on the instrument. Its not as effective if all you can play is the flute, for example

Haha. Well that's true. I play viola and piano but no one's ever impressed with that. I also play guitar and bass guitar but I never really make it known because I'm not the greatest. Still, it's nice to be appreciated.

I play bass and if other people can play it I usually think they're cool. I wish I could play piano.

Playing guitar doesn't make a girl any sexier than she already was (at least in my opinion). She could play clarinet, flute, drums, or nothing at all and it wouldn't matter to me.

I said no way, because it's not seen as masculine instrument, but it certainly doesn't increase peoples' sex appeal.
