To me, soccer is an art. A beautiful masterpiece that's painted by the world's players. It's beautiful how the players are able to practice brotherhood and teamwork for a common goal, how they let their emotions spill after each play, and how they are able to make the impossible look easy. It's amazing how one player can make the stadium cheer with such passion once the ball they kicked kisses the back of the net. It's only boring if you don't appreciate it. That's true with every sport. Soccer is more than a sport. To some its a lifestyle, and if you say its boring, that's your opinion, but you're really missing out. They don't call it a beautiful game for no reason.

I believe the sport you speak of is called "golf".
