Why do we kill people who killed people to prove to people that killing people is wrong, amirite?
by Anonymous13 years ago
cause it just makes fucking sense.
by Anonymous13 years ago
Hardly. Killing is wrong, so we kill to prove that killing is wrong? That defies the purpose.
by Anonymous13 years ago
nah, not really. people who do wrong must be punished. long time ago, God punished the world by drowning every one for sinning.
by Anonymous13 years ago
But we punish them with the same crime they committed. We commit their crime by killing them.
by Anonymous13 years ago
Then let's leave the punishing to God. He doesn't need our help.
by Anonymous13 years ago
sure, he does.
by Anonymous13 years ago
Oh that hasn't been proven scientifically.

I'm not against the death penalty...this is just a good question.
by Anonymous13 years ago
What we are essentially doing is revoking their right to life, just as prison revokes their right to mobility, it is an eye for an eye in the mentality.
by Anonymous13 years ago
I know. As said, I'm not saying it's wrong. I'm raising the question, paradox if you will, of why we do that. but keep in mind....did eye for an eye work? hardly
by Anonymous13 years ago
maybe it serves the purpose as a warning? to help keep control over a society and whatnot.people need to be reminded daily to be accountable for their actions?
by Anonymous13 years ago
Killing them kind of is like giving in to them. Rather let them die of natural causes rotting in jail, don't kill them and let them off easy.
by Anonymous13 years ago
that would waste too much money, I would rather just feed them to vigilantes.
by Anonymous13 years ago
It's more of a punishment, as to say. And it saves alot of money compared to inprisionment.
by Anonymous13 years ago
It actually does not save more money because of all of the lawyers an fees and time that it takes the government to order the death penalty.
by Anonymous11 years ago
It is a humane (in the sense of how they die) way to stop the prisoner from continuing to kill or hurt others in a cruel way.
by Anonymous13 years ago
To cease the person from killing more people
by Anonymous13 years ago
its funny that so many people will say its harsher for them to 'rot in prison' prison inmates have more freedoms and luxeries that some people outside prisons. They can have tv, cell phones, internet, whatever food they want, a roof over their heads, and comfortable bed to sleep in and a million other things. Aside from that though, did the murderer give the 7 year old girl he raped abused and killed any choice in what happened to her? Did she do anything wrong? No. If its a matter of 'right or wrong', yeaah, its fucking right. Kill the bastard.

I have a sticker that says that on my binder
by Anonymous13 years ago
Do you really want a mass-murderer enjoying food, a comfortable bed, clothes, shelter, TV, sunlight, etc.? Prisons even have to give them medical/dental care.
It's pricey.
Personally, I want them tortured. A serial killer should be forced to take an acid bath. But, that's inhumane and mostly a by-product of hating them for killing innocent people.
The death penalty isn't bad. Some people just don't deserve the benefits they could get from rotting in prison.
Look up "Ted Bundy". My friend did a report on him. People like him deserve death.
by Anonymous13 years ago
i think we should hang em all up in a tree. it costs the tax payers too much to keep them in prison.
