+518 learning how to cook should be enforced on kids at a young age so when they go to college, they can have something better than instant-ramen-in-a-bowl. amirite?

Last time I checked, it's pretty difficult to cook a roast in a microwave on top of a mini-fridge.

Time is a big factor too. They don't have stoves in their dorms either....

Most students don't live on campus all four years of undergrad, so they still need to learn to cook at some point. Besides, not ever student lives on campus to begin with.

Haha, try cooking anything in a dorm room. Plus most college students have meal plans for campus dining. We dont just eat ramen all day.

Screw you I love ramen in a bowl.

I can cook, but when I go to college I plan on living on noodles and pizza, mostly because I can. :) Don't people get enough home-cooked meals before and after they go to college, anyway? :P

I'm gonna live on pizza and ramen just to screw with my health-nut friend.

I think everyone should know how to cook themselves healthy meals.
