Everyone needs forgiveness period. Even I they don't apologize. Leaving yourself bitter for what someone did to you only imprisons you.. Not the other person.

Now, you see, in that case, the person does NOT sound like they are genuinely sorry.

In the end, it's the wronged person's decision and they have every right to not forgive.

It depends on what they did, honestly. If they are genuinely sorry, then I think the wronged party should accept their apology and try to move on with their life. However, forgiveness and acceptance are slightly different.
