-186 It is really hard to say the word "friends" without the "d", amirite?

Yes... because without the letter 'd' then the word "friends" would sound a lot like the Germanic name, "Franz" and without the letter "f" then it would sound a lot like the word, "rends" which just means to tear into pieces. And without the letter 'r' it would sound a lot like, "fiends" which is just the plural form of fiend. I guess what I'm trying to say is, whenever you take out a letter that is pronounced in a word out, it ends up changing the meaning of the word....

Oddly enough I say it as friend, but the plural as friens.

Isn't the d silent or nearly silent i never say frienDs. I always say just friens.
