+285 "Thank God your mom was pro-life" because everyone who is pro-choice has an abortion every time they get pregnant? Amirite?

...My mom is pro-choice.

Me too :(

My mom is pro-choice aswell and didn't (try to) abort me.

I'm pro-choice, but there's no way I could bring myself to do that to a child, I'd rather give it up for adoption. That's not the kid's fault I can't take care of it. The only time I would feel it is okay to abort a child is if it is going to die, have major health issues, or if it is going to kill me. Or if I get raped, in that case I think it would be a bit more acceptable, still not 100% right, but slightly acceptable.

My friend told me once that her brother knew a guy who's mom tried to abort him but he survived. This isn't a pro-life story, I just thought it was kind of funny

Funny how?

by Anonymous 11 years ago

Ya, funny wasn't really the word I meant. Interesting. Strange.

There's a reason it's called pro-choice and not pro-abortion.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

Usually the statement is "Smile, your mom chose life." Which takes into consideration that pro-choice people can choose life too.

I can't remember exactly because I made this post a year ago but I think it was a bumper sticker I saw that had this exact phrasing

by Anonymous 11 years ago

Well whoever made that bumper sticker is extremely ignorant. I've seen bumper stickers and whatnot with the statement that I just quoted, but not the one from this post.

My mom was told to consider an abortion because the doctors were 60% sure I would have brain damage.
