+122 Apple should just quit making Macs and stick with the iPod, and Microsoft should quit making Zunes and stick with computers, amirite?

But I like Zunes and Macs. D: Actually, I like Apple's Macs better than Microsoft's Windows, and I like Microsoft's Zune better than Apple's iPod. Weird, huh? Oh and Microsoft doesn't make computers, btw. :)

The fact that Microsoft doesn't make computers is what seems to make Windows a far more usable and friendly OS. Because Apple make their OS, AND make their own special computers to use that OS, you have to pay an arm and a leg just to buy a computer that can use their operating system. As a uni design student who NEEDS to use Mac in order to complete my degree, its a shame that I have to pay silly money for one of their computers which are never as impressive with performance as a laptop half the price. And yes I have tried hacked versions of OSX on my laptop, although not on my pc yet but I imagine the same problem. I can never seem to get the right kexts to get everything working (I had it working perfectly bar internet and graphics on my laptop, but they are far too vital to live without)

What?! Are you kidding me? Apple making the hardware and the OS is what makes them function so wonderfully! The difference is that buying a Mac is a long term investment as opposed to getting a new computer every year because of issues such as viruses or incompatibility with drivers. And as for more usable and friendly, Windows has a steeper learning curve because OSX is so intuitive.

As a user of Windows since 3.1, I obviously dont see this problem thus personally couldn't give a rats ass. Also as a Windows user my entire life, I can safely say that I have NEVER had a virus, and the only incompatibility with drivers I have had was with old hardware, which obviously can't be helped. My computer cost me around £700, and has the power of a Mac that costs perhaps double that amount. I can also pull mine apart and upgrade parts as they come. I may be a fan of OSX, but as far as I am concerned, the Mac computers are a complete waste of money and there is no need. My argument is because Apple also make their own computers to go with their operating systems, they wont ever make a version of OSX that will work with the x86 hardware people use in computers. The only reason I want it really is so I can use Final Cut Pro for my studies, and paying a pathetically large amount of money for a computer just to run a piece of software is really just stupid

I agree. Apple needs to make Mac OS X able to install on any hardware, not just Macware. I mean I like their hardware, but it's expensive. Actually they should probably just call it Mac Firmware, as that would probably be more accurate. :P I still want one though. Our school is getting MacBooks next year and they're real fun. I am so won over by shiny things, man. x_x

Haha Zunes never heard of it

ZUNES ARE SOOO MUCH BETTER THAN IPODS. If you think that ipods are better than zunes, you've never seen nor touched a zune. Also, mac computers, are really nice, the smooth and sleek

I can't even begin to explain how awesome Macs are. I have been using one my ENTIRE life, but I must use Windows at school. Windows doesn't even come close to the awesomeness of a Mac. Btw, Macs actually cost less money in the long run. It's a proven fact.

Proven fact? It's a FACT that when a mac breaks, or gets outdated, it over. You get a new one. There is virtually no way to upgrade your hardware on a mac because Apple knows they'll make more money off iRetards who will just buy thier new OS because it "Just Works". Don't believe Apple's bullshit.
