No, not necessarily. A lot of people don't take Spanish.

you dont have to take spanish to know that. if you go up to anyone and show them the word "Juan" or "Jose" (with the accent) they will say it like an H at the beginning. they know that if the J in those names sound like and H, then the J in the alphabet must sound like and H.

No problem, Sergeant Sarcasm. I don't randomly go up to people with a piece of paper and shove it in their faces saying, "LOOK! JUAN IS SPELLED WITH A 'J' BUT IT MAKES A 'H' SOUND!" But if you SAY "Juan" to some idiot they may think that it is really spelled Huan.
