+335 Why is it called "Facebook stalking" when you look at someone's pictures or info? If they didn't want you looking at their profile they shouldn't have added you. Amirite?

because you're looking at personal information personally, and i thought it was creeping

Even still, if you're not comfortable with people seeing your information, then don't write it down. If you're not comfortable with certain people seeing your information, then don't add them. It's seriously not that hard. I don't even think you can consider it stalking or 'creeping' when you don't take the time to lock your account from people that aren't your friends. It's the Internet. It's not a private thing.

no it's called creeping because you're choosing to look at their profile without having to.

So if I choose to read a public autobiography from my local library, I'm creeping?

People don't write information about themselves for no reason. Obviously they WANT people to read it or they wouldn't have written it. They wrote it so that people could read it, and that's what people do.

Indeed. I find would be offended if I found out no one ever looked at any of my pictures or read my whole profile.

Omg seriously in real life too, if you don't want me to see you sleeping at night then don't pick a room by a tree and leave your window open. Wth.

Some people creep on people that haven't added them. That's why you should set a lot of you information and pictures to "Friends only" not "friends of friends."

I categorize all of my friends. I block my family members from seeing certain posts and the older family members are blocked from seeing even more posts.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Wow, that's really good, but it seems time consuming.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Haha.. well it's something to do while you're wasting time on FB anyway. It only takes like a minute though. Make two separate groups -> Select people to be in those groups -> Block those groups from being able to see certain things on your profile.

Oh, that's not so bad. Maybe I'll try it.

If you plan on getting Google+, that process gets way easier. You can put people into "circles" and when you post something, you choose which circles can see it.
