+526 Just because someone went through a lot of shit in the past doesn't mean that it automatically gives them the right to be an asshole and treat everyone around them like crap, amirite?

I KNOW RIGHT it's like, "hey man my little brother has cancer so don't get mad at me for criticizing you obnoxiously and being a douchebag in general"

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Indeed. I know someone who web through a lot of crap, but they feel like they're more superior than everybody else because of the crap they went through.

I know several people (some in my family) who have tragic pasts and act perfectly normal. It makes me respect them more then someone else i know who has a pretty good life and complains about EVERYTHING!

Tell that to my English teacher.

Actually that's exactly what that means.... Given I had a pretty messed up past, I see most people bitch about petty things and I feel that these people need to get over themselves. There is worse shit out there. Trust me I've seen it!

I know several people like this. My [former] friend was born with no hands and one leg and I understand its hard to go through life like that but she's mean and rude to everyone. Another kid I know had brain cancer and now he's in a wheel chair but he too, is a total dick, like legit he is just plain rude to people. both of these people have virtually no friends now and it has nothing to do with their disabilities, it's because they're not nice people.

Yes, I know an amputee who is a very nice person and is overall amazing. I respect those kinds of people a lot. But I have a hard time respecting people like your former friend, cause it sometimes feels like they think it was everyone else's fault that they're disabled.
