All the fancy mechanical pencils use .5 lead.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Lol what do you define as fancy?

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Haha maybe "fancy" was the wrong word. But all those thick mechanical pencils with the twistable erasers on the top that you buy in packs of like half a dozen instead of a dozen... those ones.

My fancy pencils cost $15 dollars for one. O.O

Where da fuq you go pencil shopping?

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Japan. They really go all out on penmanship.

I have those in .7 and so does everyone else in my school. The ones that click on the sides yeah?

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Yes, they do that. But so do a lot of pencils, actually. I'm talking about this one: http://ctrlv.in/66001 And there's lots like them, but this is the most common "fancy" mechanical pencil.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

yup.. thats the one. everyone in my school has them in .7 lead..

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Wow, I'm an idiot. It turns out those all come in .7 lead... For some reason I thought it was .5. Changed my vote to YYA.

0.5 lead works for those of us with unnaturally small handwriting. The only downside is that it breaks REALLY easily.

You are buying the cheap stuffs.

I'm a broke college kid. All I can afford is the cheap stuff.
