Girls: for some reason, your mom was really happy when you got your first period, amirite?
by Anonymous13 years ago
Wtf? That'd be stupid...
by Anonymous13 years ago
I told my mom. Not because I wanted to, but she was in the bathroom that had the pads.
She was all, "Ohh! My baby is growing up! Aww, congratulations!!" and whatnot. I was just thinking, "Uhhhh..."
by Anonymous13 years ago
It's cause now they have someone with whom to share their misery.
by Anonymous13 years ago
Right that is why i never told my mom. I know she was in pain all the time so she would be sad for me not happy. Thank God I never had troubles never called in sick to work for that reason.
by Anonymous7 years ago
They should be sad when this happens because now they know their daughter can get pregnant.
by Anonymous13 years ago
yeahh.. exactly, i think it would make them happy to know their kid isn't infertile
by Anonymous13 years ago
My mom was unhappy.
She's all "Shit, now I need to get more pads/tampons."
by Anonymous13 years ago
My dad was happy when I got my first wet dream
by Anonymous13 years ago
i guess they think of it like "becoming a woman".
by Anonymous13 years ago
Well, my mom was in a bad mood when I told her soo...
by Anonymous13 years ago
My dad was worse.
We were in the car the one day and he says, "So.. I was taking out the trash and saw you got your little friend. You need to get a calendar to mark when it happens so I'll be prepared."
WTF
by Anonymous13 years ago
hahaha oh my god I can imagine a dad saying that... Mad awkk
by Anonymous13 years ago
To make sure boys weren't getting too close?
by Anonymous7 years ago
My mother was upset and said that I had "become a woman too early." Thanks, mum. That immediately cheered me up from the fact that my lady parts were bleeding all of a sudden. So much for tact.
by Anonymous13 years ago
My mom was mad... And she didn't believe me! She was like "How do you know..." and I was like WTF mom, I've been through family life. Haha I think I know what it looks like when I have BLOOD in my UNDERWEAR!!
by Anonymous13 years ago
;-; and hugged me? what's so great about the worst thing about being a woman?
by Anonymous13 years ago
She was ok; she got used to it after 3 girls, so when I finally mustered up the courage to tell her (We weren't that close), she just showed me where the pads are. My sister, on the other hand, asked me why wasn't I crying.
by Anonymous13 years ago
My mum yelled at me, and proceeded to ignore me for 5 hours.
by Anonymous13 years ago
lol my mom was happy and my aunts too -_- they were basically celebrating while I was walking awkwardly getting used to wearing a pad.
by Anonymous13 years ago
I didn't tell my mom, I was afraid I was dying...So I...um yeah, hid the bloody undergarments, and she found them and she's like ":| Why didn't you tell me!?" and then she made me call my dad :/
by Anonymous13 years ago
omg same exact story right here i was only in 5th grade though and we hadnt had that talk in school yet!
by Anonymous13 years ago
No. She was like, "oh, that's good."
by Anonymous13 years ago
hahaha she was. I told her and she was like "awwwh realllyyy? *smiles* yaaay" I was like ookaayy...
by Anonymous13 years ago
My mom asked me if I wanted to call my grandma and tell her 8/
by Anonymous13 years ago
My mum cried with happiness, she was drunk.
by Anonymous13 years ago
I was staying with my Nan and she actually phoned my Mum in Australia to tell her. And then she phoned all her friends. I was really embarrassed.
by Anonymous13 years ago
I found it extrememly awkward to tell my mum, I was quite young. We went to the supermarket to buy pads and the popular girls were there, and saw me buying them. Embarrassing.
by Anonymous13 years ago
I didn't tell my mom and then she found the bloody underwear and I was grounded.
I was a freshman by the first time I got it so it was awkward. XD
by Anonymous13 years ago
Actually, she laughed at me.
And the very first time I bought stuff I had to go with my dad.
That was embarrassing.
by Anonymous13 years ago
I didn't even talk to her about it as my older cousin showed me what to do.
