+492 It's stupid that Microsoft word tells you that you spelled your own name wrong, but it doesn't do anything if you put 8 commas in one short sentence. amirite?

A) They have no way of knowing how to spell your name. If you really care, you can just add your name to the dictionary so your name will no longer be considered misspelled. B) If your word processor tells you nothing is wrong with you putting eight commas in one sentence, then you must be using them correctly.

(Chauncy Pickles): I haven't literally put 8 commas in one sentence, but once I wanted to see what would happen if I put a whole row of commas after a word and it didn't do anything to correct me.

Maybe your processor knew your intentions weren't true.

(Chauncy Pickles): I've also put them in random places throughout the sentence so that it doesn't make sense. Still nothing. and if it did that, then it wouldn't underline gibberish.

Maybe the processor's standards for gibberish are greater than you can satisfy.

(Chauncy Pickles): Or maybe there's no such thing as a perfect computer word proccessor and it's just weird.
