+353 Most likely, you support the troops because of how they sacrifice their lives, but you're anti-war because killing is wrong, amirite?

War keeps the population down. As sad as it is to say it, but it's true.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

With war, peace exists. Without war, no peace whatsoever will exist and the world will crumble. War is sacrifice, sadness and overall something to not insult unless you want to be the peacemaker.

Why did you vote YYA?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Because I agree.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I'm asking because the general sentiment of this post is that war is wrong, but you said that peace cannot exist without war. Notwithstanding how strange that statement is, I still don't understand how you are voting in favor of this post. I guess I'm just really confused as to what your stance really is.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Wait... If you're agreeing with this post, then you believe war is wrong. According to your logic, no peace exists without war, which would mean that you are against war and thus against peace.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

If you want to be the peacemaker, be my guest.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I am, in fact, studying to do just that. Besides that, I really disagree with what you are implying: that unless someone is willing to 'be the peacemaker,' then war is the only solution.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Look. There is no true peace in the world. One man will want more than the other causing a fight, then a war. This is common knowledge. War is unavoidable. I honestly don't care about war, whether we're in it or not. "Peacemaker" meaning to say unless you have a better solution to ending all of this, the only solution is war for now. With people such as Kim-Jong Il, peace isn't going to happen. I agree because I can do so when I really don't need to explain the thought process you can't run at.

One reason I hate war is because my boyfriend wants to go back in it....

by Anonymous 13 years ago

He also wants to fight for you, y'know.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I know... I just don't want him getting hurt.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I can understand that and I respect that. I'm either going into the Navy or I'm going to work at Bungie, Ltd (if I get the job there. @_@)

by Anonymous 13 years ago

@932451 (Zestablar): well, thank you in advance if you work in the Navy. Then I'm going to be a bit ignorant and ask what is Bungie, Ltd?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

If someoe invades your country, unless your extremely pacifist, your gonna fight back.

It's ironic. You can't have apostrophes in usernames.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

You still used the wrong you're

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Hence the aforementioned irony.

That's not irony

"The use of words to convey a meaning that is the opposite of its literal meaning." Also see Socratic irony.
