+274 It would be good if teachers got paid more when their students improve on their grades, amirite?

Well, the thing is, then you'd get teachers who would make the tests increasingly easy so that they could get a pay-raise at the end of the year.

Actually, my math teacher used to talk about how this was a bad idea. Although the majority of teachers would be encouraged to step up their teaching and help the students improve, some change answers on tests and cheat to earn more money.

Also if a kid didn't like the teacher they could fail on purpose. Or at least do bad like c-d range

I doubt if that would be much of a problem.

The teacher might teach for the standardized test only and not real-life applications or anything that might be outside of the curriculum.

There would just be super grade-inflation going on with no real measure of intelligence.

We get good grades and the teachers get more money. Win win!

Teachers do everything that they can. In the end, its the students passing or failing
