If the subtitles were in English, if they put up say Chinese subtitles I would understand as I would most likely not be speaking Chinese, if I was people would need subtitles

haha my cousin's school's cheerleaders were on Made, and they're from Louisiana so they had to have subtitles. Gotta love the south.
