-186 Health books say how underweight people go on diets to gain weight. You don't know a single person who would go on a special diet to gain weight, amirite?

by Anonymous 12 years ago

me. i'm 15. i'm 5'2" and I weigh 86.4 lbs. I'm on a diet to gain weight.

One of my mates is underweight, and his doctor actually did put him on a diet to gain weight. But, it's not like, eat tons of Maccas and KFC, it's more lots of protein and good fats/oil, like in nuts.

My cousin has crones disease. if she doesn't go on a diet to gain weight she could die.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

haha, yeah. I actually realized like right after the deleting period for this post was over that I've been on a diet to gain weight before. sorry about your cousin, btw.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

You have? Well that's ironic. lol it's alright, she's okay now.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

...how do you just forget something like that?

by Anonymous 12 years ago

The word 'diet' does not just mean a tool to lose weight, it just refers to the kinds of food that a person habitually eats.

At the end of Paranormal Activity 3, the grandmother kills both of the girls' parents

I now pronounce you asshole of the day. Congrats.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I should be on a diet to gain weight, actually.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

i would have to turn myself in.... im 13, 5'6 and 92 lbs. i cant really help it, i have a fast metabolism and its been like this since i was 3 or 4.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

16, 5'1 and 89 lbs. It sucks.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I'm 5'8" and 115. But I run 40 miles a week so there isn't much need for a diet.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Geez, I don't think I've ever ran a total of 40 miles in my entire LIFE. I guess I *would* be better off I did more (any) athletics, but God knows that'll never happen.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

It's really helps. Because instead of being small and weak, you're smallish and...dense haha Like my core is rock hard

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Haha dense sounds . . . good? I mean, I do do hehe some physical activity. I do english horseback riding, tech (does that count?), and I did ballet until last year. But I rarely excersize, I don't run *ever*, and I get tired all too easily. I suppose I should start working out every once in a while.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I guess ballet counts a bit...but that requires finess more than strength. And by dense I mean I can bench my own weight, leg press twice my weight, ect ect

by Anonymous 12 years ago

it really does suck! and everyone looks at me as if i have an eating disorder and its so irritating. i am always tired, weak, and uncoordinated.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Same! But I don't think anyone's ever accused me of having an eating disorder. I suppose I look proprtional enough for my height and everything that people usually realize it's natural.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

ah! youre so lucky! sicne i am rather tall, evryone is all OMG HELP THAT GIRL HAS AN EATING DISORDER

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Well if you count protein to gain muscle mass...

by Anonymous 12 years ago

wrestlers are always on diets to either gain or lose weight.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

They only try to lose weight never ever gain weight except pure muscle

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Thin women who want to get pregnant often have to gain weight to have a healthy baby.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I probably should be on a diet to gain weight because my BMI is 16.3, but I can't. I went to a dietician and they checked to see if I was naturally this way, by seeing if I have a high roof of my mouth and I do have a high roof of my mouth, which means there isn't really much to do about it. So meh, I don't really mind. I know, cool story bro.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

What does having a high roofed mouth have to do with being thin

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I have absolutely no idea haha, but if you have a high roofed mouth then it means you're naturally very thin. I guess if your mouth is low, then naturally you're larger.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Ohhh well how would i measure my mouth if I want to check at my house

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Hmm I'm not sure. I guess you would use your thumb like you would when you get an ice cream head ache, and see how high the roof of your mouth was. This would be gross, but I guess you'd have to compare.

My boyfriend had to gain weight to get into the army because his BMI was too low, so he went on a special diet/exercise program (to build muscle). The first doctor he went to just told him to eat mc donalds, but yeah that would not have been so good. And my sister had a thyroid problem and she was very underweight and was always sick so she was put on a special diet to gain more weight and wasn't allowed to do much activity (like running) because it'd just burn the calories too fast.

A couple years ago I had to try to gain weight for the P.E. fitness testing because my BMI was too low and since I couldn't gain weight, I just put some rocks in my sweatshirt pockets when they weighed me!
