Contrary to popular belief, dunsparce, not magikarp, is the most useless pokemon ever. At least magikarp evolves into something awesome, amirite?

I pretty much think they are both the same, but I agree magikarp DOES evolve into gyarados which is a great pokemon. Also this doesn't really come into this but in magikarp's name there is MAGIK!!!

Dunsparce has the Serene Grace ability which makes the secondary effects of moves twice as effective (chance of burn, freeze, flinch, etc.). It learns Thunder Wave and Headbutt. Once you T-Wave something (25% chance of fully paralyzed) and Headbutt it [30% x 2 (serence grace effect) = 60% chance of flinch], your opponent only has a 30% chance of being able to do anything. You have a ghost-type, you say? It learns Bite, which also has a 60% flinch rate after Serence Grace. What can Magikarp do? Flail, Tackle, and Splash, with a dismal attack stat. Useless on ghosts. Just saying.

All the same, you could argue that evolving into Gyarados is something that Magikarp does, and does rather well.

(The PokeMaster): I'm so late to the party... the dunsparce stun lock kind of relies on going first though, so it's somewhat screwed if it doesn't. and if it's vs something like a steel or ground type, that doesn't work well at all. I do like it though.

Meh, with earthquake he can deal with many of the common OU electric-types and it's not like ground is an uncommon type in OU either.

IMHO the most useless pokemon are the legendary ones you spend the whole game after. They have almost no PP and they use ultra-destructive moves that have to then recharge. Since nearly all the battles in the game are against weak wild pokemon or regular trainers you meet on the street, it's a bit like taking a grenade to knife fight. A grenade that then has to recharge while the next guy in line steps up to fight. It's boring and excessive and a lot of them have stupid special abilities.

Dunsparce can be a huge freakin' pain to knock out if you're not prepared, which is a lot more than anyone can say about almost any unevolved Magicarp. It can be like Shuckle, except able to learn more versatile movesets. In my opinion, though, Feebas is the most useless Pokemon in itself. Just puttin that put there.

Magikarp don't have moves. Dunsparce is derp, but i have one on my team. Qwilfish and Stunfish are EXTEME derp. Shuckle have A LOT of HP, but is too weak. Smeargle... No comments. Conclusion:The coolest looking Pokemon to me, are weak :|

Dunsparce better get a cool evolution in the sixth generation (if there is one). But I did get a pretty awesome dunsparce, knew fire blast, blizzard, thunder and earthquake. Got it to a cool level with a macho brace, had decent stats, used it in an elite four team. But honestly, most basic or non-evolving pokemon are useless. Feebas, zangoose, carnivine, pachirisu, sunkern, combee... the list goes on.
