well obviously no. but how are we supposed to have happiness (the concept of being happy) without sadness? that's one of the most awful statements, I know, but if you think about it, we wouldn't appreciate things as much if there were no unfortunate happenings. yes, it sounds kind of ignorant and sheltered, but it's true in a way.
