The only way Spiderman could beat Superman would be if it was a popularity contest. Honestly, people, Spiderman isn't a strong superhero and not even a very good tactician. He probably wouldn't be able to obtain Kryptonite anywhere even if he figured he could use it.

I recall there being a crossover comic of this, and while the artists called it a draw for PR reasons, it's pretty obvious that Superman with speed, strength, invulnerability, and heat vision (should he apply them properly) would beat Spidey. Love em both, but Supes wins.
