+117 Canadians: There have probably been more injuries due to getting impaled by a poppy than in combat, amirite?

The same could be said about Americans. I'm sure it's more common for someone to stick themselves with a poppy than to get injured in war (seeing as way more people wear poppies than go to war). Also, Canada became a separate country because of their army and success in war. It's more recent that Canada has developed more of a peace keeping army. But don't kid yourself. Canadian soldiers get killed all the time at war and are more than willing to kill if need be. Their army isn't as strong as it was, but it's certainly moving in that direction as of late.
