I would say religious holidays, not just holidays. But still true.

I meant Christmas, Hanukah, Kwanza, and all those included as well.

I don't even think Thanksgiving has much meaning to everyone anymore. I mean, most people just use it as an excuse to overeat. But yeah, Christmas is just about presents now, and Easter is just about eggs and brunch. Mardi Gras is an excuse to get drunk and party like there's no tomorrow, and Halloween is just about the candy. It's really sad.
