+1,204 Harry Potter would have had a much easier time if he just used the internet. "Who is Nicholas Flamel?" "Lets google it!" "How am I supposed to breathe under water for an hour?" "I bet Wikipedia has an article about it!" "Oh God, where is Voldemort's last horcrux?" "I don't know, lets check his Twitter!" Amirite?

Magic doesn't work around electronics, though and vice versa, so he would have had to go into a nonmagical town.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

And vice versa? I think you don't know what that means.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

No, he got it. Magic doesn't work around electronics, and electronics don't work around magic.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

No, I think OneNut is right - electronics don't work around magic, but magic isn't effected by the presence of electronics.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I don't think the series ever mentioned that though.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Yeah, I suppose. I'm going by the bit in the 4th book where Harry can't bring in Muggle technology to help him because it wouldn't work well with all the magic in Hogwarts, yet wizards can perform magic in Muggle neighbourhoods and house without the magic being hindered with Muggle consoles.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Thanks Voldy for the information. Really informative!... When are we going out to tea to discuss the economy and politics?

by Anonymous 12 years ago

4 o'clock

by Anonymous 12 years ago

No, ThatOneNut is right - electronics don't work around magic, but magic seems to work around electronics. For example, electronics don't work in Hogwarts because of all the magic in the air, yet wizards have no problem casting spells in Muggle neighbourhoods full of electronics.

That's exactly what I said! >: (

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Am I the only one who's having conflicting emotions about this video. I don't know if I should laugh or be worried about the children and thier odd obsession.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

A little of both??

by Anonymous 12 years ago

except there would be no information about magical topics on the internet since the wizards/witches in Harry Potter world don't use computers...

by Anonymous 12 years ago

There are too magical topics on the internet! http://ctrlv.in/46521

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Oh man, going to a nonmagical town - so much effort.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

It took him the whole third year to get permission to go into Hogsmeade, so it probably would actually be pretty difficult to get to a nonmagical town.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I mean, he LIVED with nonmagical people....

by Anonymous 12 years ago

He did live in Privet Drive... >_>

by Anonymous 12 years ago

No, I think it's just electronics don't work around magic, not the other way round. Because I remember someone saying they put a freezing charm on one of those 'burglar alarms'.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

He can just ask a Hufflepuff. They are the best finders of articles.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Why ask them to find an article? Just ask them to find the damn horcrux.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Voldemort would probably be able to find Harry too.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

...annnd you killed it. -_-

by Anonymous 12 years ago

He's always been able to find him. He only lived in two places, Hogwarts and privet drive.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

"about to meet up with my peeps at the graveyard!! Hopefully gonna be born again! #endoftheworld"

by Anonymous 12 years ago

The Harry Potter series takes place in the 90s. Though the internet was around then not everyone had access to it.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Voldemort has a twitter. I'm following him. Does that make me a Death Eater, following him?

by Anonymous 12 years ago

No.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Okay, sounds good.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Yes, because I am your father. ...Oh fuck. Wrong movie.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Hahahahahaha I'll give Luke your message [;

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Voldy seems like the type that would use myspace

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Probably. I mean, a book of his faces? *ugly* Dealing with birds? *too humane* A space of his own? *just right...* [and very close to the world of his own he so desired]

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Hm, I never really thought of that... but you have a point!

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Mugglemaker.net A wizarding dating site maybe?

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Meet your muggle match today! I did it, and I found the love of my life!

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Hot muggle babe? Didn't I talk to you on the Muggle Hotline?

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Ummm isn't a muggle just a human?

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Yeah. Its for wizards to meet people and make some muggles. hello

by Anonymous 12 years ago

"What should I do to capture the dragon's golden egg? I know! Let's see what I do on Pottermore!"

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Aside from what other people said, I don't think Voldemort would be tweeting about things that would kill him if certain people found out...

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Why don't people understand when something is clearly a joke. This is getting out of hand. Obviously that wouldn't be smart for him to do.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Just pointing out the obvious! Wasn't trying to be rude

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Sucks when you make an anonymous post and it gets POTD, amirite?

by Anonymous 12 years ago

The post was made a year ago back when anons could post even if they didnt have an account...

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Ohh really? Another question, POTDs are random posts amirite chooses from all time or is there specific stuff for it?

by Anonymous 12 years ago

lolwut Anthony choses the POTD, based off of recommendations (Is this what you are asking? Sorry I don't speak pig latin)

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Yes that's what I was asking and okay?..

by Anonymous 12 years ago

he coulda just used a gun to kill voldemort... no need for an epic wand battle

by Anonymous 12 years ago

If they had the Internet, Voldemort would've won. Harry would have been too busy wanking.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Ron: "Harry, why do people always laugh when I say that I have a stiff wand?" Harry: "I dunno, let's check urbandictionary.com!" Ron: "LOL" *browsing around the website* Harry: EWWWW, RED WINGS? WHY WOULD ANYBODY DO THAT, EVER!

by Anonymous 12 years ago

^^^ Fckin Harry potter nerds smh

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Just because someone likes Harry Potter doesn't automatically make them a Harry Potter nerd.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Yea but these dudes took it to another level

by Anonymous 12 years ago

by Anonymous 12 years ago
