That's funny. Hilarious, actually. Because there's no way anyone who knew shit about me would call me "another fan boy.". Because I took the time to fully educate myself on the good and the bad. He was flawed, but he didn't hide them, and he donated a lot of time and energy to helping his causes. It's not about how much he had after his donations. He was in the most popular band of all bloody time, of course he's rich. He kept so much of his money because he knew he was likely to become poor anytime, and whether it's good or bad, people do need money. He was a philosopher and a business man, and he wasn't about to let either of those traits hurt each other. Also, for future refference, there's no such thing as unbiased news.

I didn't admit he was hypocritical, I admit he did what is nearly impossible. He managed to be a great business man and philosopher WITHOUT being a hypocrite. That's one of his best features. And maybe I am a Beatles fanboy, if that's a bad thing. I'm a big fan of many things.

he talked about love and peace, his own family was in bits and peices and would ignore some of his children, he talked about how the world would be better with no money, yet owned way more than anyone needed. he contradicted himself, thats the definition of a hypocrite. AND news is anything recent and important, which john lennon is neither.

this is what a writer from the times said about him. "Lennon was a wife-beater, an anti-Semite, a bully and just a nasty piece of work in general. When 'Imagine' came out he had a closet full of white fur coats. He was a hypocrite. I also think that not only was Paul McCartney a better musician but Ringo Starr was too. I got so much flak for writing that he was a nasty piece of work, but lots of people have said similar things since."
