by Anonymous 13 years ago

Yes, you do fail.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

yeah... its polish.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

polishhhhh hahahaha

by Anonymous 13 years ago

The ignorance of this site never ceases to amaze me. Ski is an almost uniquely polish suffix. Not Russian. And the mix up is actually racist and insulting.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I'm proud that I knew it was Polish BEFORE reading the comments.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Me too, lol

by Anonymous 13 years ago

It's polish an Russian. They are very similar languages too. If I was so dumb how do I know that? Well I don't know. I happen to have a Russian neighbor who helped me on this one.. And guess what? Their last name ends in ski!! Who's the dumb on now??

by Anonymous 13 years ago

one* :> I'm sorry I just had to. I still love yah :D

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Yes, I had a lot of typos. My iPod is messed up...

reapeat comment

by Anonymous 13 years ago

That was supposed to be 'I do know'. Stupid iPod auto correct.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

The "ski" suffix is uniquely Eastern European, not just Polish. It isn't just Russian, either.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Yes it is... How do you explain my Russian neighbor who's last name end in ski!?!

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Stepharoo said it isn't JUST Russian. Meaning yes, Russians can have that suffix, but it's not exclusive to them. I had a math teacher who's last name was Faszczewski and she was Polish.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I'm russian and my name ends with a "skaya" soooo umm yeah fail :)

by Anonymous 13 years ago

or ends with "vic"

by Anonymous 13 years ago

you got that right.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

And like I said before, Russian and Polish are very similar languages. Very similar last name suffixs.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Umm... Hello? Macedonian last names end in 'ski' i.e Proeski, Talevksi, Ristevski. It's not JUST Russian and Polish.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

YOU KNOW WHAT? That also includes Russian. I never discluded any other nationalities!! This was meant to be funny. Not to discriminate any nationalities. Of course there are more countries with last names that end it ski or sky.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

The post said "You know they're Russian...", and you don't, they could be any nationality...

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Uhmm.. Yeahh well apreantly people these days can't take a little bit of humor and exaggeration!!

by Anonymous 13 years ago

No offense, but it's not really humour, it just sounds like an observation.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

You all just need to stop telling me that I failed, because I didn't. You know why? Because Russian last names CAN end in ski or sky. They don't have to.. But it is common. I never sad ski or sky wasn't a suffix for any other country. It was a statement. I can't believe people are so shallow that all they do I insult other people. W. O. W.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Ok, you didn't say "you know they COULD BE russian"; you said "you know they're russian". My last name by marriage ends in -sky and it's Russian; as everyone else says, -ski is USUALLY polish. Not always, but usually... which means your post IS wrong, and the people who agree with it are ignorant. Stop trying to twist your words around to make you somehow less wrong; show a little maturity and admit you made this post based on your one russian neighbor with the -ski name, rather than from knowing of a bunch of people with it. That's what happens when you post inaccurate exaggerations; people get mad.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Nah it's polish.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

You say I'm immature? You spend all your time critizing other people. This site is meant for fun. It's called amirite. Not let's be specific in everything we say.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Russian last names tend to end in "ov" and "ova" if they're a girl

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I never said they didn't.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Hmm.. 337 people agree with me (and counting) and how many people disagree? A meer 43 disagree? Let's see.. It's on the home page..

by Anonymous 13 years ago

You also know that they're Russian when they drink 8 cups of vodka a day instead of water. Also if they're bears riding unicycles.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

So true! At least someone sees my point! :]

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Oh, the fun of Polish last names! My personal favorite is Szuszczewicz.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I feel like the Russian names usually end in -sky Ex: Shcherbatsky, Vronsky, Oblonsky

by Anonymous 13 years ago

My last name ends in skeet

by Anonymous 13 years ago

My Uncle is Russian and his last name is Afanasiev... or some variation of that spelling. Doesn't end with ski...

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I never said all of them end in ski. It was a joke and apreantly people cant take jokes. Whatever. Not my problem. And btw, ski and sky and pronounced the same.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I don't believe you know what you're talking about. No offense. An you can't just say no offense even if it is offensive. And FYI, TRUE ninjas understand me.
