Okay, think about this: mario can turn into a lot of things, including a ghost, a bee, a frog, a raccoon, a penguin, a propeller type thing, and lots of others. He rides a dinosaur, and has killed a giant fire breathing dinosaur many times. He has many awesome friends such as toads and luigi, while sonic is stuck with amy. No wonder Mario has so many more fans than sonic.

This is Sonic vs. Mario. Not Sonic vs. Mario and Friends. Even so, Sonic can destroy huge robotic monsters that breathe fire AND other things. Any way you look at it, Mario if just a fat plumber that knows how to use items while sonic is a hedgehog that can run at the speed of sound. (or faster)

Again, it's Sonic vs. Mario, not Sonic vs. Mario AND friends. And Mario is to fat to even catch up with Sonic. When sonic could run around the world in a few seconds.

I think Mario on the fanbase would win by a landslide. Sonic would win on the speed factor (duh). Mario is a fat Italian plumber...but Sonic is a blue d-bag. I prefer Mario over Sonic. Mario has a bigger goal in the video games, and as far as creativity goes, it's Mario. In a fight to the death, I would'nt know. First, where are they fighting? A field? The Mushroom Kingdom? A sewer? Planet Vegeta? Scrap Brain Zone? Would there be power ups? Come on, is it going to be Super Sonic VS Star Mario? Or just regular mario VS sonic with 30 rings. I would pick Mario too beat Sonic but Mario would still be in some PRETTY BAD shape.
