And their mobiles don't work. So they go looking for a phone, and figure the "abandoned" house must have one.

ULTIMATE HORROR MOVIE "Ugh, I ain't gonna take the main road where there are heaps of people and it's perfectly safe, lets go take a shortcut through the woods. Oh, the full moons so pretty. Ah shit, we're lost. And our phones don't work. Maybe the scary house where we heard all the screams coming from has a phone. There are rumours that it's haunted? Pssh, myth. There have been 13 murders there? Coincidence. Damn, we keep hearing mysterious footsteps, but no one's here. Hey, I dare everyone to stay the night. HOLY SHIT, one of our friends disappeared and there's blood everywhere and his heads on the floor! Whatever, must be a prank. Let's stay here anyways. Oh, I'm the only one left, and it has just occured to me (logical douche bag that I am) that there MIGHT be something wrong. HOLY SHIT, it's a ghost of a werewolf phsyco killer who I once cheated out of 50 cents once and is now seeking revenge. And, I can't escape him no matter how slowly he walks. *screams and is hacked to death*

"Oh, our care broke down! Hmm, I know! As tourists in a foreign, strange country, it's perfectly safe to ask some stranger living in a villa in the middle of this dark and scary forest for help!"
