+377 Why do commercials bother to say "happy holidays" when they are clearly advertising for Christmas? amirite?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Because not everyone celebrates Christmas.

fuck people who dont celebrate Christmas

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Ya, they don't want to offend the other religions, who celebrate like hanukkuh, kwanzaa, etc.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I know that, but the people who be "offended" already know it's for Christmas.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Kwanzaa really isn't a religious holiday.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

They should run separate promotions for each holiday or just fuckin say christmas

by Anonymous 13 years ago

They do it so they can run Christmas commercials before Thanksgivng. Holidays includes Thanksgiving too. At least thats what I think.

Because everyone has sand up their vagina's and when one little thing bothers them they get all offended and complain and start wars and throw their shit from trees.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

What i meant to say was people feel left out.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Actually it seems like they are almost insulting people who don't celebrate Christmas, like we're too stupid to realize the blow up Santa clause doll is Christmas themed.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

because they are to lazy to say "Merry Christmas and a happy New Year", so they just say 'Happy Holidays" and kill two birds with one stone, lol

Because it's like that christmas party where that one jewish cousin from an extended, extended branch of the family tree shows up. We all want to pretend he's not there, but we know he's there. We see him sitting there with his little jew glasses taking his jew bites of our christmas food, so we just kind of acknowledge him without really acknowledging him just because it's considered socially unacceptable to ignore him. He knows we all hate him, though.... He knows P.S Before you start your angry mob, yes, this was meant to be a joke.

The irony is Americans worry about saying happy holidays instead of merry Christmas but those same people are the ones that say America is a Christian nation and take their Christian values to work with them which prevent this country from moving forward.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Nah, man, it ain't the christian values that slow the country's progress. It's the complete dumbasses that misinterpret the message of the bible and think they have the right to beat other people over the head with their viewpoint that slow the WORLD'S progress.

I think we've both got the same point, except you said it without offending as many people as I probably did
