The Fault in Our Stars by John Green. I totally didn't get it until I read both the book and the work of Shakespeare it was referencing.

It's Kind of a Funny Story by Ned Vizzini. It's about a teen who admits himself into a psych ward. Yes, it is kind of a funny story, but it's kind of a serious story as well.
